In an ongoing bid to expand his rapidly growing support among Hispanic Americans, President Donald Trump has announced the launch of “Latino Americans for Trump,” a coalition aimed at engaging with Latino communities across the nation ahead of November 5, 2024.

The Trump campaign explained, “Under President Trump, the Latino American community saw a record low unemployment rate. Under Biden, Latino Americans have been left behind, burdened with higher prices, soaring interest rates, and lower wages.”

Their launch statement added, “Inflation and the failure of Bidenomics will be a major issue facing Latinos in 2024, as well as high crime rates and the affordability of housing – issues where Biden has failed miserably.”

President Trump has previously pointed out that he won the Texas border community’s vote, which is largely Hispanic, and has projected that he will win “an even larger share of the Hispanic American vote, setting all-time records for Republicans up and down the ballot.”

In a lengthy announcement launching the coalition, RNC Chairman Michael Whatley and RNC Co-Chair Lara Trump released a joint statement explaining that Biden had “failed” Latino Americans by facilitating economic disaster.

“The Republican Party is committed to forging longstanding relationships with the Latino American community – and the launch of ‘Latino Americans for Trump’ is just the beginning,” they wrote.

A slate of other Republican leaders, including Florida Sen. Marco Rubio (R), Arizona State House Rep. Teresa Martinez (R), U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and former White House Deputy Assistant Jennifer Sevilla Korn, offered their support for the coalition.

Multiple Republican-Hispanic action group leaders across the country, including members of Latinos United for Conservative Action, the Republican National Hispanic Assembly, and the Miami Young Republicans, have also endorsed the coalition.

“Latino Americans for Trump is founded on the fact that with President Trump, the Latino Community in this country has a president who is committed to removing the obstacles that keep minorities from achieving the American Dream,” the coalition heralded on its website.

Charter members of the coalition will have the opportunity to help volunteer with the president’s campaign and focus on making an impact with voting in Hispanic American communities across the country.
