President Donald Trump created history with a dominant performance over his Republican challengers in the Iowa Caucus on Monday night.

The 45th president won the first election of the 2024 presidential race by a margin that equals more than double that of the previous Republican record set by Bob Dole’s 12.8 percentage points in 1988.

With about 99 percent of the vote reported, Trump distanced himself from the runner-up by nearly 30 percentage points. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., placed second at 21 percent followed by former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley at 19 percent.

Meanwhile, Vivek Ramaswamy finished in fourth place with seven percent. As a result, the businessman suspended his campaign and issued an endorsement of Trump.

“Earlier tonight I called Donald Trump to tell him that I congratulate him on his victory and now going forward he will have my full endorsement,” said Ramaswamy.

Likewise, in a manner of respect, Trump commended Vivek for his competitive efforts. “I would also like to congratulate Vivek because he did a hell of a job,” he said.

Shockingly, despite DeSantis holding events in every county throughout Iowa, Trump is on track to win 98 out of the 99 counties in the Hawkeye State.

Indicatively, Iowans recognize the Republican frontrunner as the leader of the America First movement. The results of the contest reinforce Trump’s commanding lead toward becoming the Republican nominee for a third time.

In the interim, DeSantis and Haley are battling to eliminate one another in the hope of solidifying themselves as a valiant second-place opponent.

As for Trump, he is shifting his concentration towards defeating Joe Biden in the general election. During the victory speech, “This is the first because the big night is going to be in November when we take back our country,” said Trump.

Forthcoming, the GOP New Hampshire primary election is on Jan. 23, 2024.
