President Donald Trump’s massive victory over Vice President Kamala Harris was a thunderous roar from hard-working Americans who have struggled financially since 2021.

Trump made gains with many groups, including significant inroads among Hispanic Americans.

The 45th and 47th president-elect received support from 45 percent of Hispanic voters, up from 32 percent in 2020.

He overperformed with Hispanic voters in Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Detroit and other major cities, according to USA Today.

In what the outlet called “a major shift,” Trump beat Harris among Hispanic men, with 54 percent support for him versus just 44 percent for her. In 2020, Trump received support from 36 percent of Hispanic men.

Trump garnered support from Hispanics all across the country, including Starr County, Texas, which borders Mexico and has not been won by a Republican candidate since 1896.

Hispanic men are attracted to Trump’s commitment to decreasing the cost of living and making life more affordable for Americans.

One truck driver from Phoenix told USA Today that his paycheck went further during the Trump administration, and he is now working a much more physically demanding job than he did while Trump was in office.

He told the outlet, “I’m pretty sure that Hispanics feel the same way,” adding, “They’d rather take 2016 to 2020, pay, work hours, provisions, all that stuff, then what they have no for these past four years.”

Rio Grande Valley CBS anchor Sydney Hernandez shared the historical results from south Texas on Wednesday afternoon.

“ALL RESULTS ARE IN. REPUBLICANS SWEEP SOUTH TEXAS. In what so many around the country and the state have never seen before, republicans won every county in the Rio Grande Valley. President Trump won in Hidalgo, Cameron, Willacy and Starr County,” she wrote in a post on X.

Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz also surged in support from Hispanic voters. In 2018, he lost the group by 29 percentage points, according to the Washington Examiner. On Tuesday night, NBC News exit polling showed that he won among Hispanic voters by six points.

Trump and Republicans like Cruz have promised to return to Trump-era border policies that were undone when the Biden-Harris administration took office, which likely contributed to the wins in those Texas border counties.
