President Trump is poised to take victory in the New Hampshire Republican presidential primary in two weeks, based on a surprising new mainstream poll.
According to a survey from USA Today/Suffolk, Trump has a comfortable 20-point lead over former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, who has risen in the polls after siphoning off some of Gov. Ron DeSantis’s, R-Fla., flagging support in the Granite State.
President Trump is the favorite choice for the Republican Party nomination nationwide, with Morning Consult’s newest primary tracking data revealing that he is holding a 52-point lead over Gov. DeSantis.
In their poll, Haley is the third preferred choice nationwide, but she holds only 11 percent of support in that position.
New Hampshire is an early primary state, with its election taking place just a little over one week after the anticipated Iowa caucuses on Jan. 15.
In Iowa, Trump is also in a strong position to win, holding 58 percent of the prospective caucus vote headed into next week’s first big primary contest, per Morning Consult. DeSantis has lost four points since November, which Haley picked up. Still, Haley trails behind Trump by a whopping 43 points.
In the general election, Trump is leading handily over Joe Biden, according to the newest data from Redfield & Wilton Strategies. They found that the 45th president was leading among general election voters in Arizona, Georgia, Florida, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and North Carolina.
With Iowa and New Hampshire set to kick off the GOP primary election cycle in a matter of days, President Trump should be able to easily win the Republican Party’s presidential nomination in 2024, which will catapult him into what is sure to be a gritty general election battle.
