President Donald Trump praised the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) on Friday, sending them good wishes and a blessing as they defend themselves against the deadly Hamas invasion that has resulted in thousands of deaths in the Middle East.
“I have always been impressed by the skill and determination of the Israeli Defence Forces,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
He continued, “As they defend their Nation against ruthless terrorists, I want to wish every soldier the best of luck. May you return home safely to your families, and may God bless you all!”
The president has strongly voiced his support for Israel in the face of their war with Hamas terrorists. On Thursday, Trump recalled his strong alliance with Israel during his presidency, commenting, “…the United States stood in complete solidarity with Israel, and as a result, Israel was safe, America was safe, and for the first time in decades, we made historic strides for Peace in the Middle East.”
More than 1,300 Israelis have died and in Gaza, an estimated 1,400 Palestinians have been killed, according to data from Reuters. At least 27 Americans in the region have also lost their lives, RSBN previously reported.
Trump famously brokered the historic Abraham Accords while he was in office, giving the Middle East a new opportunity to move in a “new and positive direction,” he also explained.
On Friday, Politico reported that Israel’s ground invasion of Gaza was “imminent,” according to Israeli officials who spoke with anonymity. Via Politico, an evacuation order had been issued in northern Gaza with the hope that Palestinians in the area will have a chance to get out before Israel attacks Hamas.
On Truth Social, Trump commented, “THIS ATTACK ON ISRAEL WOULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED, ZERO CHANCE, IF THE ELECTION OF 2020 WAS NOT RIGGED AND STOLLEN. IT SHOWS THE WORLD HOW IMPORTANT ELECTIONS ARE.”
