President Donald Trump lit up the stage at the Lee County GOP Dinner in Florida on Friday evening, touting his historic presidential victories in 2016 and 2020.
He noted that before his election in 2016, “Republicans were on the verge of losing this nation forever.” He pointed out the destruction inflicted by the Obama administration and the feckless loss of major states in the 2012 election by Mitt Romney.
“Our country was looking at eight long years of Hillary Clinton in the White House,” he commented.
He added that 2020 should have been a “magnificent night” of victory, but the election “was rigged and stolen – you know it, I know it, everybody knows it.”
Trump spoke to a sold-out crowd of eager Republican supporters in the Sunshine State, hot on the heels of meeting with a stellar slate of America First Florida representatives at Mar-a-Lago on Thursday, RSBN reported.
The president also listed his accomplishments, noting the following:
- Nationwide, he flipped more than 200 counties that voted twice for President Obama in 2016,
- In Wisconsin, 14 counties swung Republican by 20 points or more,
- In 2020, he received 12 million more votes than in 2016 and more than 10 million more than Obama,
- In Florida, he received 1.2 million more votes than Gov. DeSantis, R-Fla.,
- While Biden won 551 counties in 2020, he won 2,588 counties.
Trump also touted the incredible endorsements he had received from Florida Republican representatives like Byron Donalds, Greg Steube, Matt Gaetz, and Anna Paulina Luna.
“We have to see this evolution through to its completion,” he said, speaking about his 2024 campaign.
He also told the crowd that the “Republican Party of RINOs, Neo-cons, and globalists is GONE.”
