President Donald Trump blasted Joe Biden’s prime-time speech Thursday night for being divisive, threatening, and anti-American.

Joe Biden’s prime-time address to the nation, which was labeled, “the battle for the soul of the nation,” seemingly labeled the majority of the Republican Party as “traitors” and enemies of the U.S. Constitution.

According to CBS, Biden said,  “Here, in my view, is what is true: MAGA Republicans do not respect the Constitution. They do not believe in the rule of law. They do not recognize the will of the people. They refused to acknowledge a free election.”

The 45th president quickly pointed out the dangerous rhetoric throughout Biden’s Thursday night speech. Trump said Biden directly “threatened America” by accusing the MAGA movement of being a danger to democracy.

“If you look at the words and meaning of the awkward and angry Biden speech tonight, he threatened America, including with the possible use of military force,” Trump said. “He must be insane, or suffering from late stage dementia!”

Biden’s comments quickly drew criticism from other Republican lawmakers for his divisive rhetoric. They argued a reversal of Biden’s policies would be more beneficial to the soul of the nation, rather than a polarizing political speech.

Sen. Bill Hagerty, R-Tenn., said, “What would help the ‘soul of the nation’ much more than a condescending lecture from President Biden is getting inflation under control instead of actively spending more money to make it worse.”

“Divider-in-Chief at his finest tonight,” Rep. Mark Green, R-Tenn., wrote in a statement on Twitter.

“Someone should explain to Joe Biden, slowly but passionately, that MAGA means, as powerfully as mere words can get, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social, “If he doesn’t want to Make America Great Again, which through words, action, and thought, he doesn’t, then he certainly should not be representing the United States of America!”

The 45th president will also have a chance to respond to Biden’s “divisive” speech at his Save America rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday.
