President-elect Donald Trump posted on Truth Social for California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom to resign, as the unprecedented Los Angeles wildfire continues to spread throughout the evening due to high winds and dry drought conditions.

Trump said, “It’s ashes, and Gavin Newscum should resign. This is all his fault.” By showing true leadership qualities, Trump held Newsom accountable, because he created this problem with the fires spreading fast without containment in multiple locations.

The soon to be 47th president further ripped apart Newsom’s failed leadership when he refused to sign the water restoration declaration, in order to protect two endangered fish species, the delta smelt and Winter-run Chinook salmon.

Back in 2019, the water restoration declaration was shot down by Newsom, this policy measure would have allocated water from the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta to San Joaquin Valley farmers and to fill the reservoirs.

Trump further emphasized on Truth Social, “Governor Gavin Newscum refused to sign the water restoration declaration put before him that would have allowed millions of gallons of water, from excess rain and snow melt from the North, to flow daily into many parts of California, including the areas that are currently burning in a virtually apocalyptic way. He wanted to protect an essentially worthless fish called a smelt, by giving it less water, but [he] didn’t care about the people of California.”

Furthermore, in an interview with Anderson Cooper, Newsom offered no explanations to adequately explain why the fire hydrants were without any water by stating, “local folks have to figure it out.” His gross incompetence and lack of experience in emergency preparedness led to the catastrophic consequences of fire hydrants running empty with countless reports throughout the Pacific Palisades.

Currently, according to CAL FIRE, 0% of the out of control wildfire in the Pacific Palisades is contained. This is unacceptable while Californians are being taxed to death while there is a lack of water for containment.

By lacking leadership in emergency response during the Los Angeles wildfire, Newsom turned his back on Californians while imposing failed environmental regulations in the name of climate change ever since he became governor.

Nevertheless, enough is enough. Californians, especially in the deep blue Pacific Palisades, need to wake up now. He is no longer qualified to serve as governor.

Californians must demand Newsom to step down immediately.

First responders continued to respond overnight by battling five wildfires throughout L.A. County, while thousands of Californians are displaced with their homes and businesses destroyed. This is a truly devastating situation that could’ve been avoided.
