Trump teases impending White House return with countdown post

President Donald Trump is counting down the days until his return to the White House on January 20 with a new post.

Newsmax reported that as President Trump’s inauguration gets closer, he’s shared a new post to Truth Social with a photo of himself standing beside a desk where his longtime aide Dan Scavino was shown sitting. Accompanying the photo was the caption, “Back in 18 days…to be continued.”

According to Newsmax, Scavino also took part in the great countdown by reposting an old 2013 tweet from President Trump before he became president. In that post, President Trump had written, “NO MERCY TO TERRORISTS you dumb bastards!”

In another post shared with Truth Social, President Trump highlighted the current state of the nation leading up to his inauguration, writing, “Our Country is a disaster, a laughing stock all over the World! This is what happens when you have OPEN BORDERS, with weak, ineffective, and virtually nonexistent leadership.”

He also slammed the Department of Justice, the FBI, and the Democratic state and local prosecutors for not doing their jobs properly.

He called them out, saying, “They are incompetent and corrupt, having spent all of their waking hours unlawfully attacking their political opponent, ME, rather than focusing on protecting Americans from the outside and inside violent SCUM that has infiltrated all aspects of our government, and our Nation itself.”

In his post, President Trump also called for the CIA to get involved before it’s too late because, under the Biden administration, the violent erosion of safety, national security, and democracy has already been taking place. President Trump promises Americans that “Only strength and powerful leadership will stop it. See you on January 20th. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

In addition to his countdown for the return to the White House, President Trump is expected to hold a rally-style event in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 19. RSBN reported that the event will take place at Capital One Arena, which can hold up to 20,000 people. The event, called the “Make America Great Again Victory Rally,” is set to start from 3 p.m. ET to mark the 60th presidential inauguration.
