President Donald Trump arrived in person for a court-ordered deposition in New York City on Wednesday as a part of Democrat New York Attorney General Letitia James’s efforts to take down the Trump Organization.

Trump arrived on Wednesday morning at James’s office in lower Manhattan, where he will deliver an hours-long taped deposition.

Trump, who confirmed his in-person deposition via his Truth Social, has called the investigation a “Witch Hunt.”

“In New York City tonight. Seeing racist N.Y.S. Attorney General tomorrow, for a continuation of the greatest Witch Hunt in U.S. history,” Trump wrote. “My great company, and myself, are being attacked from all sides. Banana Republic!”

James, who campaigned on “removing” Trump from the White House, began launching probes into the Trump Organization when she took office in 2019. She has accused Trump and his family of inflating the value of assets on financial statements so that they may obtain loans and tax benefits.

James has also called Trump an “illegitimate President,” threatening that his days were “coming to an end.”

President Trump is the last member of his family to be deposed by James. Three of Trump’s children, Eric, Ivanka, and Donald Trump Jr., have already given their depositions.

Trump’s attorneys have fought his subpoena for more than six months, but they lost their bid in the state’s liberal Supreme Court and the First Department Appellate Division.

Trump’s deposition is the latest in a series of legal efforts carried out against him.

On Monday, FBI agents raided Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in Palm Beach. The following day, a federal appeals court ruled that Congress is entitled to see Trump’s tax returns.
