On Tuesday, President Donald Trump blasted the FBI agent accused of acting on political bias and preventing the Hunter Biden laptop information from becoming public before the 2020 presidential election.
According to the New York Post, Timothy Thibault, an FBI assistant special agent, resigned last week after reports suggested that he helped prevent Hunter Biden from being investigated in the months leading up to the 2020 election.
Fox News reported Thibault was escorted out of the building according to FBI procedure as a result of his reported resignation.
The 45th president shared a series of Truth Social posts criticizing the FBI agent for his alleged political motivation. On Tuesday, Trump stated, “The fired agent was in charge of the Mar-a-Lago Raid, and the Election investigation. How’s he doing?”
As previously reported, over the past few months, Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, has requested that FBI Director Christopher Wray respond to troubling whistleblower allegations that certain FBI officials conducted investigations into Trump out of political motivations and protected Hunter Biden from potential FBI investigations.
In response to the news of Thibault’s departure from the FBI, Trump once again highlighted the “political weaponization” of the Justice Department pertaining to the raid at Mar-a-Lago. He said, “Presidential Records Act was fully adhered to by me, but not by the FBI. They RAIDED my home (4th Amendment anyone?). Agent In Charge was just walked out of the FBI Headquarters Building for wrongdoing. He was also involved with the 2020 Election Hoax, the Crime of the Century!!!”
