As the open border crisis rages on, Americans have been left defenseless and vulnerable by the Biden administration. Millions of illegal migrants have flooded across the border and the federal government has done nothing to deter the onslaught of foreign nationals from countries like China, Venezuela, and Turkey.
In a new editorial penned for the Daily Mail, President Donald Trump astutely observed, “The abolition of America’s borders is Joe Biden’s policy. The mass-migration of millions of illegal aliens into the United States is Joe Biden’s plan. This is Joe Biden’s invasion.”
The president’s editorial was released just hours before he was scheduled to visit Eagle Pass, Texas, to see firsthand what the situation is like on the front lines of the southern border crisis. Perhaps not-so-coincidentally, Joe Biden scheduled a border trip for the same day.
“In a last-minute trip, Biden is chasing me to the border, no doubt desperate to shirk blame for the catastrophe he has caused,” Trump argued.
More than 7.2 illegal immigrants have entered the United States via the southern border, according to data from the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol. This shocking number may even increase to 16 million by the end of Biden’s term in office, according to Trump.
In his eviscerating op-ed, Trump scorched Biden for his poor decisions regarding the border, including putting a halt to “Remain in Mexico” (Migrant Protection Protocols), terminating asylum agreements, and issuing work permits to illegal aliens.
The southern border, President Trump pointed out, was safe and secured in 2021 thanks to these Trump-era policies that Biden immediately terminated upon taking office. Since then, it’s all been downhill in terms of border security.
President Trump also pointed out that many of those crossing the border were perceivably dangerous individuals. “A large number are fighting aged men, including from China, Venezuela, Somalia and many other countries,” he said.
Trump continued, “In short, Joe Biden purposely surrendered our border to cartels, child smugglers, human traffickers, and some of the most dangerous criminals on the planet – the cost to public safety, national security and taxpayer money be damned.”
A horrifying number of ICE arrests have been criminals, sex offenders, kidnappers, drug traffickers, human traffickers, and murderers.
He explained, “Last year, 43 percent of all ICE arrests were aliens with criminal convictions or pending charges for some 33,000 assaults, 3,000 robberies, almost 7,000 burglaries, 7,500 weapons offenses, 4,300 sex crimes, 1,600 kidnappings, and 1,700 homicides.”
These shocking statistics have driven crime through the roof in cities around the country, resulting in a new type of crime that the president has aptly dubbed “Biden migrant crime.” In fact, it is this terrifying new crime wave that is being blamed for an uptick in violent homicides, car-jackings, and beyond.
Last week, a 22-year-old nursing student, Laken Riley, was brutally murdered at the hands of an alleged illegal migrant from Venezuela who was paroled in the United States. Trump issued a statement in the wake of her death, writing, “Laken Riley was a spectacular young woman whose life was taken from us, and her great family, by a savage monster who should not have been in our Country.”
In February, a Salvadoran illegal alien national was arrested for his reported connection to the murder of a two-year-old child here in the United States. According to Fox News’ Bill Melugin, ICE allegedly released him several times from custody following a history of past arrests “after local jurisdiction ignored ICE detainers.”
Indeed, Biden’s border betrayal has stoked the flames of bloody violence and chaos in the streets of America, illustrating the stark difference that just one presidency can make. Upon a prospective return to the Oval Office, Trump has vowed to secure the border immediately, terminate Biden’s open border policies, and implement the largest deportation operation in American history.
“We’re going to start with the REAL bad ones first,” he vowed in February.
In his op-ed for the Daily Mail, Trump reiterated his promise to “shut down the invasion on Day One” and “restore every strong border policy I had before – and impose tough additional measures to keep out the gang members, human traffickers, sadists and thugs.”
As Trump embarks on a dueling visit to the southern border against Joe Biden’s too-little-too-late photo-op, the nation will be forced to grapple with the harsh reality that Biden’s administration has led the nation to where it is now: the brink of destruction.
With Trump, America’s sovereignty will be secured and restored, but under Biden, the destruction will only continue. “The first step to border security is voting Biden out of office this November,” Trump concluded.
