Nationwide support for President Trump among young American voters has swelled to new heights since he took office, proving that the next generation is hungry for positive and forward-thinking change.

According to Newsweek, a recent InsiderAdvantage/Trafalgar poll conducted last week among 1,000 likely voters showed that a whopping 52 percent of 18-39-year-olds approve of the president’s job performance.

This comes after four years of Biden-led chaos that led to skyrocketing housing prices, groceries, and energy and gas bills for young people nationwide.

In fact, it seems that a trend has begun to emerge since the 2024 presidential election: young people are increasingly embracing President Trump’s agenda by leaps and bounds, signaling shifting political winds.

According to InsiderAdvantage, Trump holds an 11-point advantage overall in his job approval rating following his trip to the Middle East, which secured trillions of dollars in U.S. investments from key Arab countries.

In an analysis by InsiderAdvantage pollster Matt Tawry, he said these results are “not a surprise.”

“Other pollsters who accurately polled election cycles where President Trump’s name appeared on the ballot have been showing his approval ratings moving into the fifty-percent plus range,” he wrote.

He also noted that President Trump “enjoys a positive rating from all age groups other than seniors.”

This is interesting, as it seems to highlight a bifurcation between what young people are dreaming about achieving in America versus what the older generation may envision.

It also seems to indicate that young people simply do not trust the government as their parents and grandparents once did. According to the 2025 Harvard Youth Poll, just 19 percent of young American voters “trust the federal government,” and only 16 percent of those surveyed reported that they are financially doing “well or very well.”

It appears that young Americans are struggling more than ever to establish a solid footing in the wake of Biden’s wrecked economy, and they are looking for relief. In fact, Harvard’s poll found that just 48 percent of young Americans consider having children an important life goal – another indication, perhaps, that the economic pressure is killing Americans’ opportunity to expand their families.

“Together, these findings paint a picture of a generation that feels disconnected from institutions, uncertain about the future, and skeptical that current leadership works in their interest,” the survey summarized.

In light of these struggles, it should be no surprise that Gen Z and Millennial voters supported Trump robustly during the 2024 presidential election, with 56 percent of young men voting for Trump (according to data from The Survey Center on American Life) and 47 percent of 18-29-year-olds overall doing the same (Tufts’ CIRCLE).

This data, coupled with surging approval numbers for the president among young voters, seems to suggest that the upcoming generation is ready to make America great again.
