President Trump knows how to bring down the house, and his most recent appearance at UFC 296 in Las Vegas, Nevada, proves it.
This year, the president has made headlines for walking into packed UFC events along with his friend and UFC CEO Dana White. Just last month, Trump entered UFC 295 at Madison Square Garden with Dana White, rocker Kid Rock, journalist and media personality Tucker Carlson, and Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr.
Over the weekend, Trump’s attendance at UFC 296 was heralded with energetic screams and cheers from the crowd. The president entered the arena flanked by Secret Service, making his way to his seat while Kid Rock’s song, “American Bad Ass,” blared over the speakers.
Attendees eagerly lifted their phones in the air and took videos and pictures of the president as he walked by, greeting members of the audience. Earlier this month, Trump Senior Advisor Dan Scavino posted a video of the president shaking hands with popular podcast host Joe Rogan.
What’s more, Mario Lopez, an actor and television host, walked into the arena right behind President Trump, joining his electric entourage.
The president’s appearances at UFC events over the past year have demonstrated how much everyday Americans like Trump, despite what mainstream media outlets may claim.
Even in New York last month, which is widely considered a hard-left blue state, the stadium roared with cheers and applause when the 45th president entered the arena.
Joe Rogan later described the moment in November on his podcast as “nuts.” He explained, “I’m telling you, the f****** cheers of the crowd were NUTS. I mean, it was overwhelmingly in support of him and it lasted a LONG time.”
This past weekend’s UFC event in Nevada was yet another demonstration of Trump’s ability to connect with the everyday American at a fun event like a UFC fight.
