Amid news that Meta would be reinstating his accounts on both Facebook and Instagram, Trump recently celebrated the long-awaited day of vindication while taking a moment to acknowledge the incredible impact that his own platform, Truth Social, has had on America.

“FACEBOOK, which has lost Billions of Dollars in value since ‘deplatforming’ your favorite President, me, has just announced that they are reinstating my account,” he wrote. “Such a thing should never again happen to a sitting President, or anybody else who is not deserving of retribution! THANK YOU TO TRUTH SOCIAL FOR DOING SUCH AN INCREDIBLE JOB. YOUR GROWTH IS OUTSTANDING, AND FUTURE UNLIMITED!!!”

President Trump has had great success with Truth Social. His platform initially heralded the return of uncensored content and public discourse online in February 2022 after Big Tech began cracking down on “disinformation.”

Since then, Truth Social has exponentially expanded its reach, positioning itself as a serious rival to Big Tech giants.

As reported by RSBN, Meta president Nick Clegg recently announced that President Trump’s accounts would be reinstated to both Facebook and Instagram “in the coming weeks.”

Trump’s accounts were suspended from Facebook and Twitter in January 2021, following the “insurrection” at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. In November 2022, Twitter reinstated President Trump’s account, under the new leadership of owner and innovator Elon Musk.

Despite Trump’s reinstatement to Big Tech platforms, the 45th president has made it clear that he plans to remain on Truth Social. In fact, Devin Nunes, the CEO of Trump Media & Technology Group, recently debunked rumors that Trump would be returning to Twitter.

“If President Trump was going to return to any such other social media platform, he would probably have posted on Truth Social first, and probably the last people that he would tell it to would be fake NBC News,” Nunes told Chris Salcedo of Newsmax, addressing the media-fueled stories.

President Trump has garnered over 4 million followers on Truth Social so far. The platform is also developing new features every month. In 2022, Trump’s Truth Social venture landed him back on the Forbes 400 list again following his time serving as president.

Via RSBN, Trump owns more than 80 percent of Trump Media & Technology Group, with 73 million shares valued at $1.8 billion in October 2022.
