Tucker Carlson weighs in on latest New York ‘legal assault’ aimed at Trump

by Summer Lane

Tucker Carlson, the wildly popular former Fox News host-turned-social media talk show host, weighed in on President Donald Trump’s appearance in a New York courthouse this week, where he faced a civil suit spearheaded by New York Attorney General Letitia James.

Carlson stated during a new episode of his social media show, “Trump is the frontrunner in the presidential race. He’s currently beating Joe Biden in the polls, yet liberals have decided you should not be allowed to elect him president. That’s not democracy. It’s the opposite. It’s totalitarianism.”

In Episode 27 of “Tucker on X,” he had a conversation about Trump’s legal battles with American historian and political commentator Victor Davis Hanson.

Carlson captioned the description of the episode with these words: “Donald Trump appeared in court today, but it wasn’t a legal proceeding. It was a grotesque parody of the system our ancestors created.”

Hanson noted in his interview, “I think they’ve [the left] come to the conclusion that Trump represented an existential threat and by association, half the country did…so they feel that any means necessary are justified by their noble, spiritual end.”

Carlson also described the president’s trial in New York as a “legal assault.”

As reported by RSBN, Trump’s trial in New York on Monday centered on his business dealings. Last week, New York Judge Arthur Engoron ruled against Trump, alleging fraud in his business dealings.

Trump Senior Advisor Jason Miller explained to the press yesterday, “Letitia James campaigned on getting Trump. That’s what this is about: election interference.”

President Donald Trump is indeed the frontrunner thus far headed into the 2024 presidential election cycle next year. In the GOP primary race, he holds the lion’s share of support, accruing a massive 51-point lead over waning runner-up Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., according to the newest data from Morning Consult.
