Turning Point USA announced that a public memorial service for its late founder, Charlie Kirk, will be held Sept. 21 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

Kirk, 31, was fatally shot Sept. 10 while speaking at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, during the first stop of his American Comeback Tour.

“Charlie died doing what he loved: fighting for truth, for faith, for family, and for America. His sacrifice will endure as a guiding light for generations,” TPUSA said in a statement over the weekend.

The organization’s headquarters is based in Phoenix, just miles from the stadium where the service will take place.

Kirk founded TPUSA in 2012 at the age of 18, with the support of the late conservative activist Bill Montgomery. What began in a garage in Lemont, Illinois, quickly expanded into a national grassroots movement with more than 250,000 student members and chapters on about 800 college campuses.

“Charlie’s life was short, but it was full. It was defined by truth, anchored in faith, and devoted to the country he loved. His legacy will endure for generations,” the group said. “Charlie ignited a fire in the hearts of tens of millions daily. He showed a generation that truth must never be silenced, that courage is contagious, and that freedom must be protected at all costs.”

Throughout his career, Kirk focused heavily on campus outreach, delivering speeches to encourage conservative students and debating ideological opponents. He also expanded the movement into voter engagement through Turning Point Action, which emphasizes registration and mobilization.

Kirk’s prominence in conservative circles brought him close to top political leaders, including President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance. On Sept. 11, Vance helped escort Kirk’s casket to Arizona after it was flown in from Utah. President Trump previously announced plans to attend Kirk’s funeral.

The vice president announced on Sunday that he will also guest-host Kirk’s show on Monday at noon Eastern Time.

“Tomorrow, I will have the honor of hosting the Charlie Kirk Show. Please join me as I pay tribute to my friend. 12:00PM ET,” Vance wrote on X.
