The end of the War in Ukraine is edging closer as the Trump administration carefully negotiates a peace deal.

Last week, RSBN reported that the Trump administration unveiled a 28-point peace plan and noted its similarity to the recent Gaza cease-fire deal.

Now, Ukraine has reportedly agreed to that plan. According to CBS, a U.S. official confirmed that the Ukrainian government “agreed to a peace deal.” It was noted that small details are still being hammered out, but peace is on the horizon.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that progress has been made. She noted in a post on X, “Over the past week, the United States has made tremendous progress towards a peace deal by bringing both Ukraine and Russia to the table. There are a few delicate, but not insurmountable, details that must be sorted out and will require further talks between Ukraine, Russia, and the United States.”

President Trump touched on the news in a post to Truth Social on Tuesday, stating, “Over the past week, my team has made tremendous progress with respect to ending the War between Russia and Ukraine.”

He detailed how 25,000 soldiers died in the war last month alone, and that he is seeking to meet with both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to end the war. “Let’s all hope that PEACE can be accomplished AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!” He concluded.

In addition to the number of soldiers who have perished in the War in Ukraine, over 14,000 civilians have been killed, and 122,00 have been displaced this year alone, per the United Nations
