As Americans gear up to kick off a Freedom Convoy that will head to Washington D.C. to protest vaccine mandates in the United States, the nation’s capital is bracing itself for an onslaught of patriotic truckers.
According to a report from the Washington Examiner, a fence will be installed around the Capitol building ahead of the convoy’s arrival.
As previously reported by RSBN, America’s Freedom Convoy will follow in the footsteps of the pro-freedom Canadian convoys that rolled into Ottawa, Quebec and blockaded the U.S.-Canada border peacefully but powerfully for weeks. According to the event’s website, where the movement is officially titled “The People’s Convoy,” the aim of the convoy is to “demand the declaration of national emergency concerning the Covid-19 pandemic be lifted immediately and our cherished constitution reign supreme.”
Further, the Washington Examiner reported that Capitol Police in D.C. on Friday revealed that law enforcement agencies around the city are expecting the truckers to begin arriving on March 1.
Additionally, a report from a left-leaning outlet shared that there are some concerns about operational security for the event. “Our concern is disruptive groups coming in, and so we’re trying to just prepare for counter-protests and take safety precautions for that,” event organizer Maureen Steele said, according to Mediaite.
On Sunday, Dr. Robert Malone, a prominent scientist, physician, and commentator who will be joining the kickoff event, shared a press release from The People’s Convoy that revealed that the convoy will kick off at Adelanto Stadium.
There will also be a group of speakers who will aid in launching the convoy, including Dr. Malone and pastors like Rob McCoy and Rick Brown of Godspeak Church. Speakers will also be present from the Unity Project, The America Project, The American Foundation for Civil Liberties and Freedom, and many others.
Further, the official press release clarified the time and location for the event:
This convoy is about freedom and unity: the truckers are riding unified across party and state lines and with people of all colors and creeds – Christians, Muslims, Sikhs, Mormons, Agnostics, Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, Native Americans, Republican, Democrats. All individuals are welcome to participate by either attending the launch gathering – at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday February 23, at Adelanto Stadium – or by getting in their own vehicles and following the big rigs from Adelanto toward the east coast!
If the Canadian Freedom Convoy is any indication about how big an event like this can be, Washington D.C. is likely to be swamped with freedom-loving Americans who are longing to see a restoration of their individual liberty.
