White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt delivered a rapid-fire list of President Trump’s stunning executive accomplishments with just 11 weeks in the White House, highlighting impressive successes on trade, tariffs, law and order, and the economy.
Leavitt began her weekly press briefing on Tuesday by praising the U.S. Supreme Court for upholding the president’s executive authority to deport dangerous illegal aliens by invoking the Alien Enemies Act. “Thank you to the Supreme Court for upholding the rule of law and protecting the Constitution,” she said.
The press secretary warned foreign terrorist invaders to “deport yourself now or you will be locked up and sent back to your home country.”
Importantly, Leavitt announced Trump would be meeting with El Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele on April 17 on potentially using its famed mega-prison to incarcerate deadly Tren de Aragua and MS-13 gang members.
On the economy, the news was rosy. Leavitt pointed to the president’s “Liberation Day” event held at the White House last Wednesday, which launched the official implementation of reciprocal tariffs and free trade in America.
Leavitt said Trump has “made it very clear that the era of American economic surrender is over, President Trump is no longer going to allow American workers or companies to be ripped off by foolish trade practices.”
“It’s America First all the way,” she added.
Incredibly, Leavitt noted that nearly 70 countries had thus far reached out to President Trump with hopes of negotiating a trade deal in response to these tariffs. “These countries greatly respect President Trump and the sheer power of the American market,” she explained.
She praised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for his vow to eliminate the trade deficit with the United States and terminate trade barriers.
“Israel’s proactive approach should serve as a model for the rest of the world,” she said.
Leavitt signaled President Trump’s willingness to negotiate and work out a deal that would be good for those who will sit at the negotiating table, but cautioned that such deals should benefit America first.
“To countries around the world, bring us your best offers and he will listen, deals will only be made if they benefit American workers and address our nation’s crippling trade deficit,” she stated.
Leavitt warned that countries like China, who have not yet come to the table, were “making a mistake” and reminded them that “President Trump has a spine of steel, and he will not break and America will not break under his leadership.”
Other positive developments noted by the press secretary included:
- $1.5 trillion in U.S. investments secured in just 11 weeks,
- The above number will create 350,000 jobs in America, she said,
- All investments, including foreign, amount to around $5 trillion already,
- And impactfully, President Trump has saved American taxpayers a whopping $180 billion so far, which Leavitt said amounted to about $2100 per family of four.
