White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles has been diagnosed with breast cancer, and the Trump administration is rooting for her to fight and recover as quickly as possible.

“Last week, I was diagnosed with breast cancer,” Wiles wrote in a statement posted to X.

She continued, “Nearly one in eight women in the United States will face this diagnosis. Every day, these women continue to raise their families, go to work, and serve their communities with strength and determination. I now join their ranks. I am grateful to have an outstanding team of doctors who detected the cancer early and are guiding my care, and I am encouraged by a very good prognosis.”

Wiles’ comments were preceded slightly by President Donald Trump’s initial announcement of her early-stage diagnosis on Truth Social.

“Susie Wiles is an incredible Chief of Staff, a great person, and one of the strongest people I know but, unfortunately, she has been diagnosed with early stage breast cancer, and has decided to take on this challenge, IMMEDIATELY, as opposed to waiting,” the president wrote.

The president said that Wiles would be spending “virtually full time at the White House” during her treatment, making it clear that his chief of staff would remain in her role during this time.

“Susie, as one of my closest and most important advisors, is tough and deeply committed to serving the American People,” the president added. “She will soon be better than ever!”

Wiles, who is also the nation’s first female White House chief of staff, was recently named as one of the most powerful political players on earth in Forbes’ 2025 list of the World’s Most Powerful Women, as reported by RSBN.

Wiles was an essential leader in President Trump’s 2024 campaign bid to retake the White House, assisting him in a blowout victory in November 2024 that netted him all seven swing states and the popular vote.

During a press conference on Monday, President Trump acknowledged Wiles’ health battle and praised her as an “amazing person and an amazing fighter.”

Wiles, in her X statement, expressed her appreciation for the president’s support and confirmed her intention to continue working in her role even amid cancer treatment.

“I am also deeply thankful for the support and encouragement of President Trump as I undergo treatment and continue serving in my role as White House Chief of Staff,” Wiles wrote.
