Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk called out Twitter for information related to now-disproven claims that President Trump colluded with the Russians when he was running for office in 2016.
In response to a 2018 infographic shared on Twitter illustrating an overview of “Spygate,” the tangled web of connections of people tied to reportedly spying on Trump’s 2016 campaign, Musk responded, “Confusing-gate, more like it!”
“Bottom line: A prominent lawyer working for the Clinton campaign fabricated Russia-Trump collusion using a retired MI6 spy & some actual Russians. This is not ok! There may have been actual Russian interference, but the above is not cool,” he continued.
Musk challenged the powers-that-be at Twitter to respond to a statement posted by Hillary Clinton’s Twitter account on Oct. 31, 2016, accusing President Trump of having “a secret server” in Trump Tower that had been “covertly communicating with Russia.”
A Twitter user tagged Musk in the 2016 Clinton tweet, saying, “I have reported this tweet as misleading disinformation to the powers that be at @twitter. I would be interested to know if, when you receive control over the company, anything was done with this at any level…”
Musk responded, “You are absolutely correct. That tweet is a Clinton campaign hoax for which their campaign lawyer is undergoing a criminal trial.” Musk then followed his comments up with a direct challenge to Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal and Legal, Policy and Trust Lead at Twitter, Vijaya Gadde. “…what say you?” Musk probed.
In February, a shocking federal filing from Special Counsel John Durham revealed that disturbing data had been submitted to the court, revealing evidence that Clinton’s campaign did spy on Trump in 2016, according to a report from the New York Post.
Even more disturbing, evidence suggests that the Clinton campaign allegedly paid a company to tap into the servers at Trump Tower – and the White House.
The Clinton campaign lawyer who is now on trial for allegedly lying to the FBI is Michael Sussmann. According to a BBC report, Mr. Sussmann is accused of failing to disclose to the FBI that he was working for a Democrat campaign when he was interviewed.
In March, President Trump filed a lawsuit against Hillary Clinton, the Democrat National Committee and others involved in pushing a “false narrative” of “Russian collusion.”
Musk stated on Twitter that he had only heard about the charges against Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann and the details of John Durham’s investigation very recently.
“I only heard about it last month and was blown away,” he said.
He added in another series of tweets that while it was unclear if other senior managers for Hillary Clinton were aware of what was going on, “What is *not* in question is that Sussmann charged the Clinton Campaign for his Russia hoax meeting with the FBI.”
