Thousands of South Carolinians showed up for President Trump on Saturday afternoon as the 45th president made his first major stop in the Palmetto State to campaign against former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley.
Seemingly endless lines of excited supporters wrapped around the rally venue, the HTC Center at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina, to show their enthusiasm for Trump ahead of the state’s Feb. 24 primary.
The inside crowd was just as impressive, with a sea of Americans donning classic red MAGA hats, ready and raring to hear President Trump’s remarks.
While the exact crowd size is not yet known, the HTC Center, which has a 3,370-seat capacity, looked filled to the brim.
The big turnout in South Carolina reaffirms President Trump’s continued dominance despite it being Haley’s home state. Like many other recent polls, a survey taken at the beginning of February showed President Trump with a 26-point lead over Haley, indicating yet another landslide victory in South Carolina.
Clearly energized by the show of support, President Trump wrote on Truth Social, “WOW—THANK YOU, SOUTH CAROLINA! Departing shortly, will see you this afternoon. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
