Herschel Walker, the wildly popular Trump-endorsed Senate candidate in Georgia’s heated midterm election race, released a new campaign ad on Wednesday championing unity, peace through strength, and support for law enforcement.
“I love this country,” Walker stated in the ad. “I believe in peace through strength. [If] we have no strength we’re gonna have no peace. I believe in backing the blue. I believe in the Constitution. I believe that everybody should have a chance to have their faith.”
He added, “Do we have problems? Yes. Can we solve them? Yes. Georgia is my family. The United States is my family – so I’m gonna fight to take care of them.”
In September 2021, President Donald Trump glowingly endorsed Walker, who previously had an incredibly successful career in the NFL.
“Herschel Walker is a friend, a Patriot, and an outstanding American who is going to be a GREAT United States Senator,” Trump said. “He embodies ‘America First’ and the winning spirit of Georgia. Herschel is tough on Crime and Borders, and he will always stand in support of Law Enforcement, Military, and our Vets. He will fight hard for our Second Amendment and Voter Integrity.”
In May, Walker swiftly dominated the Republican field of challengers in the Georgia primary election, rocketing to victory. In November, he will face off against Sen. Raphael Warnock, D-Ga. Walker’s popularity among Georgia voters is likely to hand him a swift and resounding victory over Warnock.
“Herschel Walker will never let you down,” Trump added in his 2021 endorsement. “He was a great football player and will be an even better U.S. Senator – if that is even possible.”
On Wednesday, Walker remarked on Twitter, “Honored to be running to represent every Georgia in the United States Senate. United we stand, divided we fall.”
