A groundbreaking book on President Trump’s legacy has reached a huge sales milestone. On Tuesday, President Trump shared the new book documenting the assassination attempt that occurred in Butler, Pennsylvania, which has reached the top spot on Amazon. In a post on X, Trump praised the success of the new book by author Salena Zito, “BUTLER: The Untold Story of the Near Assassination of Donald Trump and the Fight for America’s Heartland.”
“I am pleased to announce that Salena just reached NUMBER ONE!”
Amazon sales currently show the book sitting at the number one spot in the U.S. State and Local History category.
Trump has praised the book for its bold look into the events of the attempt on his life, which occurred on July 13, 2024.
“Salena was an eyewitness to that terrible day, and understands the unbreakable Spirit of our Movement to FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT,” Trump said. “The Future of our Nation resides in the Hearts and Souls of the People of this Country, and Salena knows we will not rest until we, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.”
Zito was in close proximity to President Trump when the shooting occurred and was able to witness the historic events of that day as they unfolded. She has described the reaction of the crowd after the shooting took place and the frustration expressed over the political division that led to such an act of political violence.
Despite the emotions on display in the wake of the shooting, Zito noted how the people in the crowd were very courteous to one another and how everyone remained calm as the venue was cleared in the aftermath. She has also praised the men and women in President Trump’s Secret Service detail, saying they “put their lives on the line” to protect the President during the shooting.
