Speculation over the connection between alleged Biden family crimes and Chinese businessman Yi Jianming has swirled for years. On Thursday, the House Oversight Committee revealed that Hunter Biden has admitted in court that Jianming was his business partner.
They tweeted a portion of Biden’s recent court transcript in which the court directly asks him, “Who was your partner?”
Biden answered, “I don’t know how to spell his name, Yi Jianming is the chairman of that company.”
This statement contradicts claims Joe Biden made before entering the White House. According to the National Review, Biden stated at the last presidential debate in 2020, “My son has not made money in terms of this thing about, what are you talking about, China?”
Joe Biden also snapped at a reporter who asked him if he had any connection to his son’s business dealing last month on the White House lawn on his way to a Chicago event, per CNBC.
But the recent House Oversight Committee hearings linked Joe Biden to Hunter Biden’s questionable business behaviors because Hunter wrote off expenses for his father as business deductions, displaying a business link between the two, per RSBN.
The House Oversight Committee highlighted the contradiction in their tweet, stating, “Hunter ADMITS that CCP-linked CEFC Chairman Ye Jianming was his business partner.”
