Ivana Trump, the first wife of President Donald Trump, has died at 73, ABC News reported.

President Donald Trump announced the death of his first wife via his Truth Social, writing “I am very saddened to inform all of those that loved her, of which there are many, that Ivana Trump has passed away at her home in New York City.”

“She was a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life. Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric. She was so proud of them, as we were all so proud of her. Rest in Peace, Ivana!”

Donald and Ivana Trump married in 1977. They had three children: Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, and Eric Trump. The couple later filed for divorce in 1992.

Authorities reportedly responded to a call for a person going into cardiac arrest on the Upper East Side Thursday afternoon, according to ABC. Officials reported she appeared to have died of natural causes.

The Trump family also released a statement confirming her death.

“Ivana Trump was a survivor. She fled from communism and embraced this country,” the statement read. “She taught her children about grit and toughness, compassion & determination. She will be dearly missed by her mother, her three children & 10 grandchildren.”

This is a developing story.
