President Donald Trump’s White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany gave remarks during a Fox News interview on Tuesday slamming Joe Biden’s leadership in his first seven months in the White House.
Contrasting Biden’s failures to the years of success under the Trump Administration, she told Jesse Waters that there were no back-to-back crises under President Trump.
“When President Trump was president, you didn’t see crisis after crisis,” McEnany, who is now a co-host on Fox News’ “Outnumbered” show, said. “You just didn’t see it.”
During the same interview, Jesse Watters highlighted the recent failures of the Biden administration in light of the Afghanistan crisis, in which “several thousand Americans” are still stranded, an estimate to which National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan admitted on NBC’s Meet the Press on Sunday, Business Insider reported.
While many on the left pushed back against McEnany’s assertion, Trump’s former senior legal advisor Jenna Ellis indicated her support.
“You saw manufactured outrage after manufactured outrage,” Ellis shared in a tweet, opining that McEnany was correct.
Despite liberal attacks on McEnany’s statement, Americans are becoming more and more disatisfied with Biden, as his approval rating reached his lowest yet on Tuesday, according to CNBC.
In response to Biden’s political floundering and poor guidance, President Trump shared a statement on Tuesday: “Our country has never been so diminished.”
“It has reached an all-time low!” he said blasting the Biden administration.
