Miami-Dade County, Florida, is honoring President Donald Trump by renaming a street after him.

Hialeah’s Palm Avenue has been changed to President Donald J. Trump Avenue.

“President Donald J. Trump Avenue is official in Miami-Dade County! Today, we ratified the City of Hialeah’s initiative to honor President Trump’s legacy of championing freedom and opportunity by co-designating Palm Avenue—a vital artery in our community—as ‘President Donald J. Trump Avenue,’” County Commissioner Kevin Cabrera stated on X.

“Miami-Dade County strongly supported President Trump during the election, and this designation serves as a lasting tribute to his leadership and vision for our nation,” he continued.

“This renaming honors President Trump’s steadfast commitment to putting America first and prioritizing the needs of the American people. It is a tribute to his vision and efforts to uphold the values that resonate deeply with our community,” Hialeah Mayor Esteban “Steve” Bovo announced in a statement on X.

The recognition follows Trump’s comeback, including flipping Miami-Dade County red for the first time in decades. As the New York Post pointed out, Hialeah, one of the areas with the largest Hispanic populations in the U.S., played a pivotal role.

In the days leading up to the election, the county shifted from Democratic to Republican dominance in early and mail-in voting.

Final results from Miami-Dade County revealed that of the 1,104,596 ballots cast, Trump secured 605,590 votes, while Vice President Kamala Harris garnered 480,355. This gave Trump a clear victory with 55.19% of the vote, compared to Harris’s 43.78%, marking a double-digit margin of victory.

As RSBN previously reported, Trump received support from 45 percent of Hispanic voters, up from 32 percent in 2020. He overperformed with Hispanic voters in Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Detroit and other major cities, according to USA Today.

In what the outlet called “a major shift,” Trump beat Harris among Hispanic men, with 54 percent support for him versus just 44 percent for her. In 2020, Trump received support from 36 percent of Hispanic men.
