President Donald Trump on Thursday confirmed that a shocking number of illegal aliens have been removed from the Social Security system, months after he signed a memorandum barring them from receiving these benefits.
“We’ve already kicked nearly 275,000 illegal aliens off of the Social Security system…that’s making the system strong,” he said during remarks in the Oval Office.
Trump said many of these illegals have “already left the country, and yet we were sending them checks all the time.”
The president’s comments were made during a small ceremony honoring the 90th anniversary of the Social Security Act. He signed a proclamation commemorating the historic date.
This comes after the president’s memorandum in April, which alleged that during the Biden administration, there was a “sharp increase in the number of immigrants given Social Security Numbers (SSNs), with more than 2 million illegal aliens assigned SSNs in fiscal year 2024 alone.”
The memorandum expanded the Social Security fraud prosecution program to assist in smoking out those abusing the system.
During Thursday’s remarks, Trump said his administration had also identified 12.4 million individuals on Social Security who were over 120 years old – an impossible statistic. Additionally, another 135,000 people receiving benefits were, impossibly, over 160 years old.
“Somebody’s getting those payments,” Trump commented.
Social Security Commissioner Frank Bisignano has acted as the tip of the spear on rooting out issues at the administration. He joined President Trump in the Oval Office on Thursday and discussed improvements at the agency.
“We are serving more people, and delivering more than was ever delivered before, in a manner with the highest possible quality,” he said.
In February, shocking findings from DOGE suggested that the Social Security Administration was bloated with unbelievable amounts of alleged fraud, waste, and abuse.
As reported by RSBN, DOGE allegedly discovered that individuals who were supposedly over 300 were receiving Social Security benefits, as well as millions who were allegedly drawing benefits over the age of 100.
