President Donald Trump hit a home run in the great Hawkeye State on Monday night, knocking it out of the park in the Iowa caucuses with a staggering win of at least 30 points, according to data from Decision Desk with around 88 percent of precincts reporting.

The president called for unity on Monday, urging the nation to come together to win in November 2024, and described his win in Iowa as “ a great honor.”

He said Monday was “a very special night” and noted that “the big night is going to be in November when we take back our country and truly, we do make America great again.”

In his final remarks of the night, he promised to implement immigration policiies that would stop the “invasion” at the southern border. He also vowed to lower taxes, and “straighten out the world and straighten out the problems” upon moving toward unity in the country.

President Trump further paid homage to his recently passed mother-in-law, Amalija Knavs, noting that it had been a difficult period for his family and in particular for his wife, First Lady Melania Trump.

In Iowa, the president added that, “We have such a great team, we did well.”
