President Donald Trump slammed “globalist” GOP presidential candidate and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley on Sunday in Indianola, Iowa, stating that she wasn’t “up to” the job of being President of the United States.
These comments reiterated remarks that he made on Saturday night at a town hall in Des Moines, where he derided Haley for being linked to Koch family money and again unflinchingly labeled her as a “globalist.”
He added that Nikki Haley, like “Crooked Joe Biden,” were “both backed by warmongers and left-wing globalist Wall Street…millionaires and billionaires who crave to destroy the MAGA movement.”
Trump warned that she had “really bad money behind her” and foreshadowed that Americans may be learning a lot more about these reportedly murky behind-the-scene connections in the coming days.
Trump further eviscerated Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., for “begging” for his endorsement when he ran for governor in the state of Florida. The president described the power of his endorsement for DeSantis “like a weapon went off.”
Now, both Haley and DeSantis are attempting to run against Trump. However, their poll numbers have consistently lagged far behind the 45th president.
At one point, a heckler in the crowd shouted at Trump, but the president handled it with calmness and composure. “That’s why we have America,” he shrugged, elevating the importance of free speech, even when someone in the room disagrees with you.
The crowd cheered “TRUMP” and applauded over the heckler, and the president joked, “Go home to mommy,” and pointed out that the heckler was simply “young” and “immature.”
