Rumors over whether or not Florida Governor Ron DeSantis would run against President Trump in the 2024 presidential election have been swirling for months. Now, DeSantis is poised to officially announce his bid for the White House on Twitter Spaces with Elon Musk, per RSBN. Now, sparks are flying.
President Trump took the offensive this week, posting about DeSantis’s voting record and blasting him for supporting Paul Ryan. He called him, “A disloyal person!”
President Trump detailed how DeSantis asked him for help to win the Florida gubernatorial race in a Truth Social post on Wednesday. He specifically noted how it was his “Support & Endorsement” that got DeSantis in office.
In addition, President Trump posted about his many presidential successes, which put America First and led to improved international relations.
While mainstream outlets have embraced DeSantis and encouraged him to enter the race for some time, even USA Today admitted that he is behind President Trump in the polls. Fox News has gone so far as to make suggestions for how DeSantis could win.
Trump’s ongoing feud with mainstream media continues, yet his popularity remains. He proudly shared the results of the most recent Harris/Harvard poll post from Interactive Polls, which displayed that he maintains a 7-point lead over Joe Biden. Meanwhile, DeSantis is currently tied with Biden.
He also posted the results of a recent Fox News poll which also displayed his lead over Biden and DeSantis’s lack of points to do so in the rust belt.
President Trump continued scorching DeSantis and criticizing Fox News for displaying preferential bias. He noted, “I got 1.2 Million more votes in Florida than DeSanctus.”
He accused Bill Hemmer at Fox of using an outdated poll and giving DeSantis more press. Then he said, “It’s why people are leaving Fox News. P.S. Without me, DeSanctus would have lost the Primary and the General.”
