Hours after the death of Hulk Hogan was announced, President Donald Trump paid tribute to the WWE legend.
“We lost a great friend today, the ‘Hulkster,'” President Trump wrote in a statement to Truth Social.
He continued, “Hulk Hogan was MAGA all the way — Strong, tough, smart, but with the biggest heart. He gave an absolutely electric speech at the Republican National Convention, that was one of the highlights of the entire week. He entertained fans from all over the World, and the cultural impact he had was massive.”
“To his wife, Sky, and family, we give our warmest best wishes and love. Hulk Hogan will be greatly missed!” he ended the statement.
TMZ reported Thursday morning that Hogan passed away from a potential “cardiac arrest’ at his Clearwater, Florida home at the age of 71.
First responders arrived to his home this morning, performing chest compressions before being taken to a nearby hospital, according to the network.
He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Hogan recently underwent several surgeries, TMZ wrote, though his wife denied that these were part of a more serious health issue.Hogan most recently garnered attention for appearing at the 2024 Republican National Convention and delivering a speech at Madison Square Garden last fall in support of President Donald Trump’s candidacy, RSBN reported.
