President Donald J. Trump is no stranger to cancel culture, having been the target of many de-platforming attempts, hoax investigations, and general threats. But Saturday night, the president made it clear that he has no intention of backing down.
“They’re trying to silence me, and more importantly, they are trying to silence you, but we will not be silenced,” Trump told the crowd at a Save America rally in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
The 45th president’s remarks followed a tumultuous month that began Aug. 8 when the FBI raided his home, allegedly in search of confidential documents.
The controversial raid caused an uproar among Republicans and Democrats alike, sowing distrust of the bureau among many Americans.
Calling the FBI “vicious monsters,” Trump noted: “They riffled through the First Lady’s closet, drawers, and everything else, and even did a deep and ugly search of the room of my 16-year-old son, leaving everything they touched in far different condition than it was when they started.”
The president added that the FBI had “trampled on” his rights, likening the United States to a third-world country.
As RSBN previously reported, federal prosecutors are allegedly waiting until after the midterm elections to announce whether they will bring any charges against President Trump.
However, given the crowd’s enthusiastic reception of Trump’s remarks Saturday, it seems he will have quite a few people in his corner as the case moves forward.
