President Donald Trump revoked Secret Service protection for former Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Monday.

Mayorkas was impeached over his role in the border crisis, though the then-Democrat-controlled Senate dismissed his House charges.

“Former Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, and Mr. Hunter and Ms. Ashley Biden and their families are no longer ‘protectees’ of the United States Secret Service,” Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi told the Post in an email.

Former President Joe Biden had previously extended Secret Service protection for Mayorkas for six months after his presidency.

The news comes after Trump immediately ended Secret Service protection for Hunter and Ashley Biden earlier this month. The president shared the news in a post to his Truth Social profile.

“Hunter Biden has had Secret Service protection for an extended period of time, all paid for by the United States Taxpayer. There are as many as 18 people on this Detail, which is ridiculous!” Trump wrote.

“He is currently vacationing in, of all places, South Africa, where the Human Rights of people has been strenuously questioned. Because of this, South Africa has been taken off our list of Countries receiving Economic and Financial Assistance,” he continued.

Trump also ended Secret Service protection for Ashley Biden, the daughter of former President Joe Biden and sister of Hunter Biden.

“Please be advised that, effective immediately, Hunter Biden will no longer receive Secret Service protection. Likewise, Ashley Biden who has 13 agents will be taken off the list,” he concluded.

Former presidents and their spouses receive Secret Service protection after leaving office. Protection for family members over the age of 16 officially ends after a president leaves office.

“We are aware of the President’s decision to terminate protection for Hunter and Ashley Biden,” the Secret Service told Fox News Digital. “The Secret Service will comply and is actively working with the protective details and the White House to ensure compliance as soon as possible.”

Trump also revoked Secret Service protection in January for former national security adviser John Bolton. Bolton’s protection was extended after threats from Iran.
