President Donald Trump remains the dominant player amid a field of potential Republican primary candidates as Americans look ahead to 2024.
According to a recent poll from Premise Data, Trump held a whopping 50-point lead in an October-November lineup of hypothetical presidential candidates, including former Vice President Mike Pence and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R).
Despite DeSantis’s popularity among conservatives, he netted only 15 percent support among potential candidates when pitted against the power of Trump.
Many people expect President Donald Trump to announce a 2024 presidential bid on Nov. 15, as the president has teased a big announcement happening at Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday night. Mainstream media outlets have perhaps unsurprisingly run rampant with the narrative ahead of the president’s anticipated announcement that Trump needs to supposedly step aside and bow out of politics in the wake of the 2022 midterm elections.
However, according to a report from RSBN, Cook Political found that almost six million more Republicans voted in House races than Democrats.
Further, as of four days ago, President Trump’s endorsement success rate was 219 wins to 16 losses coming out of the general election last week, according to The National Pulse.
The 45th president also hit back at critics of his endorsement success in the 2022 midterms with clarity and common sense in a statement posted on Truth Social:
“I had such great success on Endorsements, perhaps success like no one has had before, both for Republican Nominations and the General Election itself, and I continue to get Fake News, RINO, and Radical Left criticism, but seldom congratulations or praise. That’s the way it is, and that’s the way it will always be!”
Per RSBN, Trump is on track for a strong and victorious reelection in 2024, according to comments from John McLaughlin of McLaughlin & Associates. “There’s only one person that can beat Donald Trump, and that’s Donald Trump,” he said on the “John Solomon Reports” podcast in early November.
