President Donald Trump released a sobering video on his Truth Social account Tuesday morning hours after the FBI raided his Florida home.
We are “A Nation in Decline,” states the 45th president as the film begins to play. Additionally, he paints a grim picture of America as he details the state of the union since he left the White House in 2020.
“We are a failing nation,” Trump states as thunder shutters in the background. Particularly, “we are a nation that has the highest inflation in over 40 years,” he added. In July, the Biden economy spiked to a 40-year high inflation record as the new rate rose to 9.1 percent.
In response, he asked, “how can people afford this?” Moreover, Trump reminded Americans that “we are no longer energy independent or dominant” like the nation was under his administration.
Consequently, “we are a nation that is begging” foreign nations for oil, states Trump, “We are a nation that surrendered in Afghanistan.” As a result, we left behind “dead soldiers, American citizens, and $85 billion worth of the finest military equipment in the world,” exclaims the 45th president. He continued to rail against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the U.S. political establishment’s weaponization of law enforcement.
The timing of the video is relevant amid the recent raid at Mar-a-Lago. The intent of the raid is not clear, but many feel that the Democrat Party is weaponizing the Justice Department to deter Trump from running for president in 2024. Likewise, Lara Trump told Fox News that, “This is about weaponizing the justice system, as it has been so many times in the past against somebody who you politically do not like.”
However, despite the opposition, President Trump concludes the video by promising that the “best is yet to come.”
