The 2016 election was highly scrutinized, but in his recent interview with Fox News host Mark Levin, President Trump discussed where Hillary Clinton’s campaign went wrong.
There is a long list of complaints Hillary has made since the 2016 election. According to BBC News, she has blamed her failure to secure the American Presidency on Russian leader Vladimir Putin, former President Barack Obama, the media, sexism, and even whiteness.
But President Trump believes that the true failure was that Hillary Clinton did not listen to her husband.
He discussed how close he was with the couple before entering politics, noting that Bill Clinton’s charisma was unparalleled. President Trump even referred to Bill Clinton as a “weapon” that could have been used for the campaign.
He noted Bill’s great enthusiasm and stated that he was “a natural politician.”
President Trump also disclosed that Bill Clinton told his wife and her campaign officials to go to Wisconsin and Michigan. He pressed for those states to be addressed because he knew Trump was dominating them.
Trump said that Bill told Hillary, “You’re gonna lose this state.”
However, Hillary Clinton and her campaign continued to focus on other areas. Most of the polls indicated that she would win the 2016 election, according to CBS News, yet she failed to connect with the people of Wisconsin and lost.
Business Insider reported that ignoring the state “helped cost her the presidency.”
President Trump spoke candidly about this situation and his perception of Bill Clinton. He discussed how Hilary refused to let her husband help her and what a mistake that was.
He acknowledged Bill Clinton for his winning personality and explained how it could have made the Hillary campaign a winner, but instead, “they shut him out.”
