Speaking at the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s “Road to Majority” Conference, President Donald Trump boasted about his noteworthy lead in the polls and claimed to be “the only person in history of this Country that’s been INDICTED and my numbers went up.”
“I’m probably the only person in history of this Country that’s been INDICTED and my numbers went up,” the president said during his speech, as the crowds erupted in “USA” chants.
President Trump is comfortably leading the GOP primary as he retains a sizable lead, despite the political and legal efforts to undermine his chances of winning the White House in the next presidential election.
As RSBN reported, an Emerson College June poll showed President Trump leading Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis by nearly 40 percentage points among Republicans.
Additionally, of all the Republican presidential candidates, the 45th president has garnered the most endorsements, garnering 280 points in FiveThirtyEight’s weighted polling system. DeSantis fell short at 39 points.
It is abundantly clear that despite being targeted by both the Justice Department and the Biden administration, American support for the president remains strong.
For instance, President Trump held a wide 61 percent lead in a 2024 Republican primary poll from CBS, following his announcement the week prior that he would be arraigned at the Federal Courthouse of Miami on June 13, RSBN reported.
The latest indictment brought by Smith, the head of the investigation into the allegedly “classified” documents taken from Mar-a-Lago last year, also helped President Trump raise over $6.6 million.
