President Donald Trump slammed the double standard of treatment between peaceful “America Loving Protestors” and the “Palestinian protestors, and even rioters” on Monday morning, pointing out the difference in how each group is treated.
On Truth Social, he wrote:
“Why are Palestinian protesters, and even rioters, allowed to roam the Cities, scream, shout, sit, block traffic, enter buildings, not get permits, and basically do whatever they want including threatening Supreme Court Justices right in front of their homes, and yet people who truly LOVE our Country, and want to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, are not allowed to ‘Peacefully Protest,’ and are rudely and systematically shut down and ushered off to far away ‘holding areas,’ essentially denying them their Constitutional Rights.”
He argued that “America Loving Protestors” should have the right to protest at a courthouse “just like it is allowed for those who are destroying our Country on the Radical Left…”
Pro-Palestinian protestors have been staging demonstrations across the country, ranging from storming into the Cannon Rotunda on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., and shutting down the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, California.
According to ABC 7, protestors in 2023 were charged with misdemeanors for blocking off the Oakland Bay Bridge, so it is unclear what consequences are in store, if any, for the Golden Gate protestors who shut down traffic for hours.
Notably, MAGA supporters who attended protests at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, have been criminally prosecuted to the tune of more than 1,200 people, RSBN previously reported. Many of the Jan. 6 “hostages” have been held in prison for months.
Rebecca Lavrenz, for example, was recently found guilty of misdemeanor charges for walking into the U.S. Capitol, peacefully, for around 10 minutes. She is now facing up to one year in prison and up to $200,000 in fines. She is in her 70s.
Trump wrote on Truth Social, “Free Speech and Assembly has been ‘CHILLED’ for USA SUPPORTERS. GO OUT AND PEACEFULLY PROTEST. RALLY BEHIND MAGA. SAVE OUR COUNTRY! ‘THE ONLY THING YOU HAVE TO FEAR IS FEAR ITSELF.’”
The president also pointed out that, as he headed to another week in his ongoing Manhattan criminal trial, the area around the courthouse was “CLOSED DOWN” and described this as “SO UNFAIR!!!”
He continued, “Unlike at Columbia University where the Radical Left Palestinian Protesters sat on the Front Lawn, practically took over the School, and screamed, ‘Death to the Jews, Death to Israel, Death to America,’ and nothing happened to them, Lower Manhattan surrounding the Courthouse, where I am heading now, is completely CLOSED DOWN.”
