President Trump slammed the “dishonest” media for spreading fake news that President Trump cannot remember his wife’s name.
Forbes reported that on February 26, Joe Biden appeared on NBC’s Seth Meyers Late Night show. During the show, Biden stooped to making jokes that President Trump had supposedly mispronounced his wife’s name, Melania, as Mercedes. He told Meyers, “He’s about as old as I am, but he can’t remember his wife’s name.”
President Trump responded to Biden’s comment in a video message on social media. He said, “The radical left, Democrats are at it again. They’re constantly making up stories about me because their candidate is a mental and physical basket case.”
In addition, President Trump had also written on Truth Social, “Crooked Joe Biden must take a Cognitive Test. Maybe that way, we would be able to find out why he makes such terrible decisions.” He added, “All Presidents, or people wanting to become President, should mandatorily take this test!”
In his video message, President Trump explained, “I made the statement that Melania was very popular because when I mentioned her name, the audience went wild.” He explained what caused Biden’s confusion, “I then looked at the two people, man and wife, Matt and Mercedes Schlapp. And I said, ‘Wow, they really liked the First Lady.’ So this got taken as the fact that I thought Mercedes was the First Lady. Has nothing to do with that.”
President Trump ripped the media and the Democrats, saying, “These people are really dishonest. They are absolutely something. They have a horrible candidate who’s a horrible president.” President Trump adds, “They make up things constantly.”
In closing, President Trump said, “The disinformation of the Democrats is unbelievable.” He continued, “Don’t associate me with the mental midget that you portray. Because I want to tell you: he should not be leading this country.”
