President Donald Trump gave credit to his social media platform, Truth Social, on Tuesday, touting its clout in assisting Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro advance to the runoff election.
“Give Truth Social a lot of credit for the incredible win for President Jair Bolsonaro of Brazil in making it into the run off for a new term, which will take place against a Radical Left Lunatic on October 30th,” Trump wrote.
He added, “My Endorsement of him was done exclusively on Truth, and it had a spectacular impact for a spectacular man, and President. Vote Bolsonaro!”
Trump initially reminded Brazilians of his strong endorsement of Bolsonaro in early September, showering him with praise, calling him a “wonderful man” who had additionally garnered the nickname, “Tropical Trump.”
On Monday, Trump stated that he was “happy to have helped a great person and leader get into the difficult to achieve, with other Conservative candidates and certain difficult rules and regulations, run off for President of Brazil.”
Trump has utilized Truth Social to share his thoughts and opinions on politics and international events since the platform’s launch earlier this year. The president has released his coveted political endorsements on the platform in cohesion with his Save America PAC, since Big Tech giants like Twitter and Facebook have permanently banned him from their sites.
As previously reported by RSBN, Bolsonaro is up against a far left former President Luis Inacio Lula de Silva. Bolsonaro and Lula will face off in the runoff election on Oct. 30.
Trump continued, “The Voters made a great decision in giving such strong backing to the brilliant and very hard working current President, Jair Bolsonaro. Now, for the sake of Brazil and its future greatness, they have to get Jair over the finish line, against a Radical Left Socialist, on October 30th. Go Bolsonaro!!!”
