President Donald Trump will head to the great state of Michigan on Tuesday, where he will deliver remarks focused on Joe Biden’s “Border Bloodbath” and offer an America First alternative to the chaos unfurling across the U.S.
According to an official campaign statement, Trump will speak in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Tuesday, April 2, at the Grand Rapids Convention Center. “Joe Biden’s Violent Criminal Illegals are invading backyards and communities across Michigan resulting in death, destruction, and chaos,” the campaign announcement stated.
Amid an escalating illegal immigration crisis, it is fitting that Trump would deliver this message in Michigan, which has been affected by the open border policies of the Biden administration as much as any other state.
According to Fox News, a 25-year-old Michigan woman, Ruby Garcia, was recently murdered by an alleged illegal migrant. The suspect, Brandon Ortiz-Vite, was originally deported back to Mexico in 2020 when Trump’s immigration policies were the law of the land.
Now, amid Biden’s immigration disaster, the alleged killer appears to have reentered the country, and now he has left a trail of destruction in his wake. The story of Garcia’s death is eerily similar to the horrific killing of 22-year-old Laken Riley in Georgia, who was also murdered by an alleged illegal migrant.
Clearly, illegal immigration is not an issue relegated only to border states, which is why Trump will bring his message of border security and common sense to the Great Lakes State in early April.
Ahead of his scheduled Tuesday appearance, Trump is polling exceptionally well in Michigan. According to the latest Emerson College poll, Trump has edged past Biden in a hypothetical general election, leading with 43 percent of the prospective vote against Biden’s 41 percent. An earlier March poll from Quinnipiac University also found that Trump led by five points in a race including Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Michigan has been difficult for Republicans to win since the late 1980s, but Trump flipped the state red in 2016. His 2024 polling early in the general election cycle now seems promising as he looks ahead to November, and his Tuesday appearance will be another step toward growing his lead in the state.
