A shocking new report has emerged from journalist and news personality Tucker Carlson that has alleged that U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin essentially gave American taxpayers and lawmakers an ultimatum on the issue of funding the ongoing war in Ukraine.
In a post shared to X, Carlson explained: “The Biden administration is openly threatening Americans over Ukraine. In a classified briefing in the House yesterday, defense secretary Lloyd Austin informed members that if they don’t appropriate more money for Zelensky, ‘we’ll send your uncles, cousins and sons to fight Russia.’ Pay the oligarchs or we’ll kill your kids.”
Such a shocking statement from the U.S. defense secretary seems unthinkable, but X added a Community Note to Carlson’s report, attempting to contextualize it further. The note added an excerpt from a report stemming from The Messenger, which revealed that Austin warned Congress that it was “very likely” the U.S. troops would be sent overseas if they didn’t pass more funding to aid the embattled Eastern European country.
Moreover, the original post on X was confirmed by Carlson, who responded to a question from Tesla and X CEO Elon Musk, asking if Austin “really” said that.
Carlson wrote, “He really did. Confirmed.”
As the war in Eastern Europe has continued to escalate, the Biden administration has ceaselessly asked for billions of dollars in aid to be funneled overseas. Turning Point USA President Charlie Kirk noted that Biden had refused to close the southern border, which is facilitating the flow of deadly fentanyl into the United States.
He also slammed Biden for Secretary of Defense Austin’s recent comments, remarking, “Either way, this sociopath is perfectly fine with dead Americans.”
According to The Messenger, the White House has also warned lawmakers that they would be willing to deplete the U.S. stockpile of weaponry to send more military aid to Ukraine if they do not get the funding that they are requesting.
