President Trump posted to Elon Musk’s X, formerly known as Twitter, for the first time since he was completely banned by the platform in 2021 under Jack Dorsey’s leadership.
Following his fourth arrest on Thursday night, President Trump posted the caption, “DONALDJTRUMP.COM.” along with the newly released mugshot from his booking in the Fulton County jail.
Underneath the mugshot, words read, “ELECTION INTERFERENCE,” which were followed by “NEVER SURRENDER!”
President Trump was suspended by the platform in 2021 after Capitol protests on Jan. 6, marking the first-ever move by a Big Tech company to silence a sitting U.S. president.
However, that ban was reversed when the platform undertook new ownership by tech mogul and innovator Elon Musk. In November 2022, Musk reinstated President Trump’s account, stating that he was correcting a “grave mistake” made by previous leadership.
