Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis slammed Biden’s “human smuggling operation,” referring to the administration’s immigration policy of flying illegal immigrants from the border to Florida on late night flights.
“They’ve done over 70 flights in the last six months, dump people here,” DeSantis stated. “And we had—a few weeks ago—one of those people that Biden dumped, ended up committing a murder in northeast Florida. So, these are crimes that would not have happened but for Biden’s recklessness,” DeSantis said on Fox News’ “Ingraham Angle.”
“We are going to pass legislation that says, ‘If you are facilitating Biden’s policies, which is effectively a mass human smuggling operation, you are not going to be able to do business with the state of Florida or other local governments, and we are going to charge you restitution for each individual that you are bringing,” DeSantis continued.
To combat Biden’s “reckless” immigration policies, the Florida governor on Friday proposed a new program allocating $8 million in federal funding to remove illegal immigrants dumped in the state by the Biden administration.
DeSantis also vowed to deny the renewal of state license for any Florida Department of Childen and Families facility involved in housing illegal migrant children, especially those pretending to be minors, that are flown to the state.
“Any of those folks who are involved in facilitating this type of illegal migration in the state of Florida—they’re gonna be barred from doing any business with any state or any local government agency in the state of Florida,” said DeSantis during a press conference.
