MAGA allies across the board congratulated President Donald Trump on Tuesday night in light of his projected and powerful win in the New Hampshire GOP primary, where outlets called the race in his favor at around 8:00 p.m. ET.
According to Decision Desk HQ, Trump held 53.9 percent of support in the primary over Haley, who garnered 45.5 – however, votes were still coming at that point (8:22 p.m. ET), so this is not the final count.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., wrote on X, “This was a referendum on the Republican Party. We’re done with the old Neocon version of before. The GOP is firmly behind President Trump!”
Trump ally and Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio, added, “Congrats to Donald Trump and the entire team on a decisive victory in New Hampshire! At this point Haley can either drop out or help the Democrats.”
Fox News’ Bret Baier observed on-air that “Donald Trump is now the only person ever to win the New Hampshire primary three times!”
Another Trump ally, U.S. Senate candidate in Arizona Kari Lake, joined the chorus of congratulations, declaring in an official statement, “After President Trump’s resounding victory in New Hampshire tonight people will say this primary is over. The truth is, tonight’s result proves it never existed at all. President Trump has been our nominee all along. It’s now time for the entire Republican Party to unite behind our nominee to defeat Joe Biden in November.”
Former New York Rep. Lee Zeldin offered, “Congratulations to the 45th and 47th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, on another big primary win, this time in New Hampshire. We have a country to save in 2024!”
Donald Trump Jr. jokingly commented, “Well that was quick[,]” as Cooks Political Report Senior Editor David Wasserman projected the president’s win in New Hampshire early in the evening.
Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, R-La., further wrote on X, “Congratulations to President Trump on his decisive victory tonight in America’s first-in-the-nation primary!”
