President Trump ripped the Jan. 6 Committee in a blistering Truth Social post on Wednesday as he called for the Secret Service tapes from that day in 2020.

“I want the Secret Service tapes far more than the Unselect Committee of political hacks and thugs,” said Trump.

The 45th president did not stop there but continued to blast the “libelous story” of him attacking a federal agent in a presidential vehicle. Former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson told the committee in June that Trump attempted to overpower a Secret Service agent. However, the tall tale crumbled to pieces almost as fast as it developed.

Subsequently, reports began to circulate that Bobby Engel, the chief agent and operator of the president’s motorcade on Jan. 6, 2021, was willing to testify under oath to combat the lies. Moreover, as more details came to light, the account told by Hutchinson was only hearsay that the former aide had heard from another source involved, Breitbart reported.

In response, President Trump labeled Hutchinson as a “fake storyteller” who lost all “credibility.”

The 45th president’s post follows the Secret Service’s announcement that they cannot locate texts from Jan. 5 or Jan. 6 as requested by the Select Committee. According to the National Review, the agency underwent an “agency wide reset of staff telephones” during those dates.

Nevertheless, President Trump is confident that any evidence put forth by the Secret Service would only validate that the story was a “fake and fraudulent” hoax.

Notwithstanding political opposition, President Trump is the trailblazing candidate for 2024, according to a poll released by Morning Consult and Politico. Outpacing all other opponents, 70 percent of respondents said they prefer Trump to run for president in the next election.

Judging by the current record of Trump-endorsed winners, voters favor Trump’s America First agenda.
